Hospice Volunteers

At VNA Hospice, our mission is to provide personalized, compassionate and skilled care to the terminally ill and their families. Through an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, pastoral care providers, grief counselors and volunteers, we help ensure quality of life with respect for each patient’s dignity, comfort, and freedom of choice while providing support to the families during their bereavement.

There are so many ways to make a difference! As a volunteer with VNA Hospice you can help serve terminally ill patients and their families by:

  • Providing companionship in the home or nursing home
  • Assisting in office activities in the main Hanover Office
  • Contributing to the newsletter and helping to organize events
  • Helping with fundraising to ensure that VNA Hospice can continue providing the best possible care for the dying and their families
