Overview of Opportunities

VNA Hospice Volunteers – Upon completion of extensive training, Hospice Volunteers are able to visit with dying patients. These visits allow caregivers the opportunity to run errands, attend appointments, catch up on household duties or to simply rest. Hospice Volunteers also can become a part of our Bereavement Program which provides support for families after their loved one dies. Finally, Hospice Volunteers can help with fundraising efforts to support our non-profit organization. On average, Hospice volunteers see one patient at a time for approximately 2-5 hours per week. Hospice volunteers are an extremely important part of the Hospice Team.

VNA Administrative Volunteers - Upon completion of a brief orientation VNA Administrative Volunteers assist with various clerical tasks and office duties, including phone calls and special events. They usually volunteer 4-20 hours per month depending on our need and their availability.
