VNA has been helping individuals and their families with a wide variety of home and personal care needs since 1985. We provide services including medical, non-medical and household assistance to help our clients be as comfortable, safe and independent in their homes as possible. The VNA is a trusted, not-for-profit agency, experienced and fully insured. Families tell us that using VNA Private Duty gives them tremendous peace of mind. Listed below are some of our private duty services:
Nurses Aide Care and Personal Care Assistance
Following the care plan developed by the professional nurse, our Home Care Aides and Personal Care Aides provide a range of services including assistance with bathing and dressing, personal care, assistance with walking and exercises, medication reminders, respite for caregivers plus much more, as needed or requested.
Non-Medical Assistance
Provided by specially trained aides under the guidelines of the individual’s care plan, customized care and support that helps the individual to reside more comfortably and safely at home, maximizing their ability to live as independently as possible. Services include:
- Personal care including assistance with bathing, hygiene, shaving, grooming
- Assistance with toileting
- Assistance with dressing
- Assistance with walking or exercise programs
- Meal preparation
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping services
Meal Preparation
Personal Care Aides will assist clients by preparing nutritious, healthful meals including those to be eaten right away as well as meals to be reheated and eaten later such as that evening or in coming days.
Shopping and Errands
Personal Care Aides will do food shopping and errands for their clients.
Companionship
Personal Care Aides are appropriately trained to provide companion care for individuals who need to have someone present at home, to give family caregiver respite, or for those who would just enjoy the time and undivided attention of a “friendly visitor” to play cards, go through photo albums or just chat.
Respite to Caregivers
Companion care is available from trained staff members for those clients who need to have someone with them at home, providing their family caregiver with respite time.
