Norma Bollinger

Hospice Clinical Manager, Leadership Staff

Norma joined the VNA team January 2021 as the Hospice Clinical Manager. Norma has worked in the healthcare field since 1986. She had strong influences in her life which guided her into the nursing profession. She has worked in the acute care setting at a Level 2 trauma hospital where she started her career on a medical surgical unit then transferred to the emergency department to further her skills.

Norma’s strong commitment to her nursing career extended an opportunity to also work in the hospice field. It was at this time she knew her passion was working in hospice. She views working with patients in their last chapter of life to be a privilege and honor. Norma enjoys the opportunity to care for the patients but also supporting family members.

Norma graduated from Chambersburg Nursing Program obtaining her LPN license in 1986. In 2000 she returned to Blue Ridge Community College for her Associate RN degree then in 2003 once again she enrolled at Walden University where she obtained her Masters Degree in Nursing. Norma has spoken at the American Nurses Association conference in Savannah GA 2016 and Vizient Nurse Residency Conference 2016 in Florida, both times offering education of Violence Prevention in the Workplace.  In 2018 she co-authored a nursing article for the American Journal of Nursing on Fall Prevention.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, attending baseball games, and “barn time” with her horses. She enjoys life and any time she can spend with her family.
